OUR HISTORY
It was Demetri Politopoulos’ love for Greece and great beer that created Macedonian Thrace Brewery on February 1st, 1996.
When the very first “VERGINA” beer was bottled on February 13th 1998 it signaled the beginning of the Craft Beer Revolution in Greece.

Macedonian Thrace Brewery is one of the most modern brewing facilities in Europe.
Our founder Demetri Politopoulos' phrase that "when something is born, it starts out small and grows with love" is one of our guiding principles.
MALTS
Our goal to create a 100% authentic Greek beer
produced in our country by a company of Greek interests based in Greece and made with Greek raw materials, has been achieved to the maximum with the verticalization of production and the creation of Thracian Malt. Thracian Malt is the soul of VERGINA beer, as it gives its characteristic body and special tasty character to our beers.
